reached the ceiling, which was about seven me-
ters high. The walls were painted in with red and
golden colours, with no windows or whatsoever.
I could see some titles from the books: ‘Dragon
Biology II’, ‘Environments in Leventerra’ and even
‘Grinlonomy’. I looked around, puzzled, and found
a man standing right behind me.
He was about twometers tall and had blonde hair.
He wore brown clothes and his eyes had the same
colour as them, but the right one was darker than
the left one. He was frowning as he scanned my
face with fury. A gasp escaped frommy throat as I
looked at him – his appearance screamed trouble.
‘’Who are you?’’ he questioned, his voice hoarse,
‘’How did you get here?’’
Why did people keep on asking questions to me?
It was obvious that I didn’t know where I was, or
how I got there. I just tried to stop shaking and
answered, my voice trembling:
‘’I’m Paige. And I have no idea of how I got here.’’
I started, ‘’the only thing I remember is this man
in front of me with something that looked like a
sword.’’
He seemed to think about it for a second, and then
walked away. Seconds later, he came back with a
picture in his big hands. He showed it to me: it
was a picture of a man wearing black clothes and
a sword in his hands. I couldn’t see anymore.
‘’Is this the man?’’
‘’Yes, or so I think,’’ I answered, ‘’But it you could
help me to go back home…’’
‘’No,’’ he answered, ‘’you are coming with me right
now.’’
He took my arm and we both got back into the ha-
llway. The man was fast and strong, and seconds
later we both were in front of a white and silver
door. The man knocked it gently, and within se-
conds, it was open. This has to be a dream, I thou-
ght, this has to be a dream.
Inside the room there was an old man with a whi-
te beard and no hair at al sitting in a sofa with a
book on his lap. As we entered, he scanned both
of us and stood up. He was as short as Leo: about
a meter, but had the biggest smile I had ever seen.
‘’Oh, Paige, it’s a pleasure to have you back. How
are you, my dear?’’ he asked.
I froze. So this guy knew me too.
‘’Where am I?’’ I asked.
‘’At home, sweetheart. Come on, let’s talk for a
while; and Shin, thank you for taking her here.’’
Who seemed to be named Brandon nodded and
went away. I was alone with the small man, which
had been smiling restlessly since I entered to the
room. He walked to the sofa and sat down there,
making a gesture for me to sit down. I shook my
head and crossed my arms, nervous in the inside.
‘’I’m waiting for an answer: where am I?’’ My voice
was shaky all over again. The man stopped smi-
ling.
‘’At home, I already answered that.’’
‘’This isn’t my home,’’ I insisted, ‘’Where. Am. I? ’’
He took the book he once had in his lap and gave
it to me. It had a black cover and no title in the
front, so I had to go through it to finally find the
title: Leventerra. So that’s how this place was ca-
lled. Quite a weird name…
‘’This is your home,’’ the man said, ‘’I’m Orpheus,
your grandfather.’’
