PROMOT I ON AND GRADUAT I ON
Gracias Colegio San Jorge

GRADUATION SPEECH
“Important” is not enough to describe what this day actually means to us. “Graduation Day”... A day we all thought was far from our
present lives. Even in those moments when I was writing this speech, I was thinking to myself “There are still 13 days to go” and
now I am standing right in front of you. Actually, these are the kind of situations that show me time flies and prove our need to learn
to make the best of every day because there are 3 things in life that never come back: Time, Words and Opportunities.
First of all I would like thank the presence of the most beloved and important people in our lives: our parents. We are infinitely
grateful for all your effort and sacrifice, for your confidence in us and for your unconditional support. In this day, it is more important
than ever that we let you know how much we love you and how proud we are of having each of you here with us ending one of the
best stages in our lives.
Thank you for making us the people we are. And thanks mum for teaching me so much. Actually, everything parents do, every little
comment, is because they love us with their entire heart and we are the motor of their lives.
To continue with, the school has been until now part of our lives for more than 10 years. During all this time, we have been provi-
ded with some of the tools we might need to confront the future. However, all the knowledge we have acquired is just a fraction of
what we really have learned. School has given us friends, probably the most sincere and intimate we will ever have. School has
given us the capacity to develop empathy, tolerance, perseverance and patience.
