Form II Debate
This month we have participated in the last BSP debate this year, the Form
II debate. This was a particularly special event for us as for the first time, St
George’s College was the host school.
On Tuesday 16th of September, twenty students from each of the participa-
ting schools came to our site in Villa to audience this debate.
The two motions were the following: “Beauty is better than brains” and “You
can learn more from technology than teachers”.
Our two debaters, Xiomara Cassina and Nicolas Paez were on opposite teams
for the first motion. This was a new experience for all the students present as
this is the first level in which BSP debates are held.
However, the level of the debaters was very pleasing. The chair person, Vic-
toria Borra from grade eleven, did an excellent job at keeping the audience
attentive and leading the event. There were some hot moments during ques-
tion time and everyone had a wonderful time.
