On May 29th, Nursery and Pre Kinder children
had our first field trip, to “La Granja el Arriero”,
located inLurin. Themainobjectivewas toknow
about farmanimals, theirhabitat, characteristics
and about their care and feeding. Also, children
learnt the importance of these animals in our
daily life.
When we arrived at the farm, the children were
divided in small groups and each one had a
guide who showed us the different places
and activities to do as milk the cow, feed the
animals, grow and pick some vegetables, make
bread and interact with some cubs (ducklings,
bunnies, chicks, etc ). During the whole visit
children felt motivated and happy, participating
with enthusiasm in each activity.
This visit was very meaningful for our children
because it helps them to reinforce their
previous knowledge. We´d like to have another
interesting trip like this very soon
