Museo de Pachacamac Grado 5
Visit to Museo de Sitio, Pachacamac
On 10th July, Grade 5 students had the
opportunity to visit Museo de Sitio at Pa-
chacamac, Lurín. A group of tour guides
talked to them about metal and wood
objects as well as clothes and pottery
found there. Students were separated
into groups of 15 and each group was
provided with a guide. They were able
to walk throughout the valley and visit
temples and rooms. The students were
also taught about the origin of the mu-
seum. This museum was named after
the Peruvian archaeologist, Julio C. Tello,
who uncovered many of the mysteries of
the ancient Paracas culture.
Students had a great time and showed
great interest by asking questions about
the objects and the information given by
the guides. They were surprised to know
that part of the architecture had been
rebuilt. Students received a worksheet
who was used to record their findings
during class after the visit. They certain-
ly enjoyed their time at Pachacamac!
