St George’s student wins prestigious BSP Short Story
Competition 2014
On Tuesday June 24th of this year, St George’s College
took part in the BSP Short Story Competition in San Sil-
vestre School which was made up of two different cate-
gories, Junior and Senior. Four girls from different year
groups competed against students from all of the British
Schools in Lima to create a short story in the space of two
hours. All of the girls worked really hard and the stories,
judged anonymously by teachers from each school, were
all of an extremely high quality.
It is a great pleasure to announce that one of our students,
Adriana Torres from Grade 7, won first place in the junior
category with her dreamlike adventure story. Adriana,
who has been a St George’s student since she started
school, showed a sensitive and creative understanding of
characters and an extensive and captivating vocabulary
and she is a fantastic example of the talent that exists in
our school community.
Congratulations Adriana, we look forward tomore of your
amazing stories in the years to come.
